HVAC Service Manager Technician

In addition to meeting the requirements of the General Maintenance Mechanic, this position is required to perform repairs and maintenance functions and evaluate the effectiveness of all HVAC equipment, controls and related systems including but not limited to air handlers, package heat/cool units, heat pumps, refrigerators, ice machines and the HVAC pneumatic control system in a safe and efficient manner. The position requires the individual to perform repair and maintenance functions in patient rooms, offices, other assigned areas of the hospital.



Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Changes logs and recording charts as required.
  • Performs corrective and emergency maintenance as required on the above mentioned hospital systems and equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance as assigned.
  • Responds to emergencies within the hospital and make necessary repairs immediately.
  • Performs work assigned via an approved work order.
  • Documents all unusual and routine activities in the Daily Journal.
  • Maintains parts and material inventories for Department, fills out requisitions for replacement and/or repair parts.
  • Performs and documents routine Plant Operations equipment rounds and readings.
  • Assists in training new Employees.
  • Participates in activities or projects to improve organizational performance.                  
  • Utilizes prudence when making purchase requests.
  • Participates in the annual budgeting process as it relates to HVAC needs.           ​


Qualifications

Minimum Education: One to two (1-2)  years of formal training in mechanical or construction trades.

Minimum Experience: One to two (1-2) years HVAC operations and associated systems and equipment in an industrial institutional environment.

Req. Certification/Licensure: None.
