Clinical Risk Management Coordinator

The Clinical Risk Management Coordinator assist hospital Risk Management Director with proactive risk management activities: education, FMEA, gap analysis, new employee orientation, proactive risk assessment and incident trends analysis.



Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Assist with defense counsel discovery requests.
  • Develop case time-lines and assist with in depth analysis of reported incidents, grievances and claims to identify causation, mitigation and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with managing and analyzing risk management data including management of online incident reporting system and tracking incidents to closure.
  • Audit medical records and monitor performance measures for risk management sentinel events, reported events and trends.
  • Assist with coordination of Patient Safety Committee- scheduling, minutes preparation, report generation. 


Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelors degree.

Minimum Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years clinical experience in hospital setting, prior risk management patient safety, Quality Improvement or med / mal experience. Experience in data / trend analysis and report preparation required. Excellent verbal and communication skills including Microsoft word, Excel, experience with RL Solutions.

Req. Certification/Licensure: Current RN license.
